Support Analyst
Grampian Software is a specialist provider of software to both the Public Transport and Whisky Industries. Our systems are used by a number of high profile UK companies including Stagecoach, First, Arriva, Go Ahead, Whyte & Mackay and Wm Grant & Sons. Due to continuing success and planned future growth we are looking for a Support Analyst to join our professional helpdesk team.
The successful candidate will join an existing team of staff who provide on-going support and professional services for Grampian’s Bus and Whisky Industry products to the existing and potential customer base.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified or equivalent
- Responsible, confident and self motivated
- Great communication and presentation skills
- MS Office experience
- Sound business applications experience, preferably having been an end user or having been involved in the support of computer based commercial applications
- Having a working knowledge of computerised payroll and/or stock control systems would be an advantage. Knowledge of other commercial based business applications will also be of benefit.
- Have a clean driving licence and on occasion be prepared to travel throughout the UK
Responsibilities
- The primary duty of the Support Analyst will be to support our application software as a member of our professional helpdesk team providing an exceptional level of customer service.
- The most important element of your job is responding to calls that come into the helpdesk and taking responsibility for the resolution of these calls within our defined Service Level Agreements.
- As well as telephone support the job will comprise all post-sales activities including interpretation of customer queries, problem investigation, software testing, releasing software and remote modem support.
- You will be assisted by our development and technical department and a key element of your role is communicating with and working with development to ensure that deadlines are met and support issues are resolved
- Other duties will include the maintenance of customer support documentation including system overviews, user manuals, user training records, system release notes and system fault logs etc.
- Full product and technical training will be given where necessary.
- As a member of the support department the successful candidate will be part of an out of hour’s first line support roster. A technical second line support system provides full backup to support staff on this roster.

Software Consultant

Operations software to the bus industry for over 10 years.

serve our Bus Industry customers.

Development
Grampian recruits Programmers at all levels to design and develop software which may be destined for a new market area or may be of a bespoke nature for an existing customer as well as the ongoing requirement to continually improve our product portfolio. Consultancy, Training & Support
Candidates will have the ability to train and advise customers on the best use of their software as well as providing on-going support for all of Grampian’s products.
