The screen building facilities within OpenPeople have been designed with this in mind and provide a simple user tool that allows you to enhance the functionality of your system by designing your own screens, or by making changes to the existing screen layouts.

It may involve simply changing the field labels to reflect your organisational structure or new screens can be created to add to your menus.

Some of the options with this design tools include::

Adding straightforward character or text fields
Date fields, complete with optional calendar look up
Numeric fields, to a user definable number of decimal places Tick boxes
Display only fields allowing the display of data from other screens
Lookups, attached to a user definable table
Seamless links to other screens or third party products via the use of buttons
Browse screens can be created from selected key fields

Most importantly, as a field is defined it is automatically entered on the data dictionary enabling immediate access to it via the integrated report writer.

Multiple tabs can be defined for each screen allowing the user optimum use of the data

The required input sequence can be defined

Help text can be attached to each field
